A new Mongolian species of the genus Apterygothrips (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae)

Apterygothrips jenseri sp. n. from Mongolia is described with illustrations. The new species is distinguished by its dark, chitinized subapical rings on antennal segment III and IV. Similar rings are not developed in other species of this genus.
